"Acts 2 church: committed to serving family, community and world together" is a tool to reach out to our church and community through financial gifts while expanding our ministries through additional needed space and for much needed new ministries.

The Goal: To seek God's will, committing to give sacrificially over and beyond our regular giving for the next three years, while fulfilling Byron Center UMC's mission/purpose statement; a "Christ-centered church, growing in grace, and committed to serving family, community and world" by becoming a "prevailing church which honors God."

The Challenge: God has greatly blessed Byron Center UMC in her 140+ year history.  This church has continually met the challenges of reaching out to the community in the love of Christ.  This is the "next step" God is asking us to make to continue to be His presence in Byron Center.

The Plan: To eliminate our debt, upgrade our present sanctuary and build Phase One of an "Extension Campus" across from the West Middle School that will enable Byron Center UMC to be more effective as a caring, ministering and mission-minded church.  The proposed Phase One will include:

• a gymnasium, showers and fitness center to reach out to the youth of Byron Center and grow our "holistic discipleship" ministry to people of all ages; a computer room for after school outreach to youth

• a stage with lighting and tech support so to accommodate future growth of our Contemporary service

• an industrial kitchen to accommodate the needs of a growing Wednesday night ministry

Our Part: Pray and seek God and His will, fulfilling that which He has challenged us to do, faithfully and sacrificially.  Each of us is asked to re-surrender all of our lives to God once again.  Ask Him what He wants you and your family to contribute.  God has only ever given us His very best.  Let each of us give our very best back to Him.
