The Tech Media team has been blessed with new
energetic youth team members. We are happy and proud to welcome Bryan
Marcus, Jacob Greene and Corey Atwater as full time Tech Media Specialists.
They have stepped out of the boat and will be helping support the worship
teams once a month. Please join me in welcoming them and saying "Praise the
Lord".Over the past year the Tech Media team has been busy helping to
inspire worship. New DVD music, videos, and screen presentations have been
created. We also continue to utilize technology to enhance worship. One key
aspect of the Tech Media team is keeping our existing technology up-to-date.
This includes installing new software, setting up new computers and
maintaining a virus free infrastructure.
We also had a couple generous donations made this past year. First, money
was gifted for the purchase of a portable sound system. This system has dual
purposes. It is portable and can be used for off-site events. It also can be
used during normal Sunday worship service for our praise band members and
their instruments. The second gracious donation is a new electronic screen.
The plan is to install this screen in the fellowship hall. It can then be
used for town hall meetings and other events that require us to present
information electronically.
www.ByronCenterChurch.org continues to be a communication vehicle for our
members and marketing for new persons interested in finding out what Byron
Center United Methodist Church is all about. We continue to update the site
and look for new content from the different ministries here at the church.
The plan this year to upgrade the site to a redesigned layout that will take
advantage of new Web 2.0 features. So in the upcoming months, look for a
fresh clean redesigned website.
Other plans for this year include the integration of our second back
screen with our DVD player. We also plan on replacing some of our existing
PC’s with newer technology. Our current infrastructure is over 8+ years old
and needs to be replaced. We will be working with local companies that might
like to donate their old used computers. We can upgrade those devices as
needed and put the hardware to great use here at the church.
I would like to thank everyone that is involved on the Tech Media team.
We have a great group of dedicated individuals that give up their free time
to help serve Christ and our Church. We pray that God will continue to
inspire us and lead us.
