What is KIDS HOPE USA?

H:  Helping to meet the emotional, social and academic needs of at-risk children by giving them a one-to-one relationship with a mentor from our church.

O:  Owned by our church.  In the fall of 2005, Byron Center Church, a United Methodist Church, will enter its' seventh year in KIDS HOPE USA mentoring partnership with Brown Elementary School.

P:  Prayer is the foundation of our work. A behind-the-scenes prayer partner from our church prays for each adult-child relationship.

E: Elementary school children from Brown Elementary School are our focus.  Brown Elementary is located at 8064 Byron Center Avenue in Byron Center, MI.

Church volunteers spend one hour per week with a child from Brown Elementary during the school year.
